Add the Goals wizard to review tasks for team members and managers to set and reference at any time in the future.
Add Goals Wizard to a Performance Review
- Navigate to the Templates Tab with the Performance Management app and select the template you wish you edit.
- Choose "Edit Template" and either create a new task to include the Goals wizard or access the task builder linked to the specific task you want to modify by simply clicking on it to open.
- When admins are customizing a review template they will find an "Apps" button in the task builder. From that drop-down select the Goals option.
- From here you will find two more options. "Create New Goals" or "Reference Existing Goals".
- Select "Create New Goals" to add the wizard to the task for team members to initiate during reviews.
- When employees click "start" to launch this during their review. It will trigger the full-screen goals wizard to open so users can create goals to later track and reference them.

Adding the Reference Wizard to Reviews
As time flies by, Managers and Team Members might want to revisit the goals they set in past reviews. Luckily, GoCo makes it easy to reference those goals within reviews using the reference wizard. And bonus: it's the same simple process as adding the goals wizard to a task! 🎉
To recap, while building a performance review template in the task builder, you'll notice a floating bar with an "Apps" button on the far right. Clicking this button will reveal the Goals option in the drop-down menu.
Select "Reference Existing Goals" to add the wizard to the task. Once added the wizard will look like so.
Employee Perspective
When a team member is completing a performance review they will find the Reference Wizard inside their task where the template creator assigned it. Users will click "Start" to open the wizard.
This will open a separate modal with a list of all their goals tracked inside GoCo. Users will use the checkboxes to add them to their reviews.
