How to Sign Embedded Payroll Documents in GoCo

GoCo makes it easy to manage and sign important payroll-related documents without leaving the system. If you're a signatory for your embedded payroll provider, you can conveniently sign documents directly from the Payroll app, streamlining your payroll process. This guide will walk you through the steps to sign these documents and what to expect if you don't have signing permissions.

How to Sign Documents in GoCo

  1. Navigate to the Payroll App

  2. Go to the Documents Section

  3. Select the Document You Need to Sign

  4. Check Your Permissions
    GoCo will automatically check if you have signatory permissions with the embedded payroll provider:

    • If you are an authorized signatory, you'll be taken directly to the document modal.

  5. Sign the Document
    If you have the necessary permissions, follow the prompts in the document modal to add your signature. Once complete, save or confirm your changes.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Error Message: If you receive an error message stating you don't have signatory permissions, reach out to your payroll administrator to confirm your access level.
  • Document Not Appearing: Ensure you are looking in the Documents section of the Payroll app and that you have the appropriate permissions set up in your embedded payroll provider.
