How to assign Dynamic Start Dates and Due Dates

Read more below about how workflows and performance management offers the capability to assign tasks based on dynamic data.

Before we get started on how to assign out a dynamic start date or due date, let's first recap what this field means:

  • Dynamic Start and Due Dates are dates that will fluctuate based on the parameters you set in the task template. For example, setting a task due 4 days after, the task start date. There are different options available for both formats, which we'll cover below.

So where do we go to set these start dates and due dates?

  1. First, you'll need to access the template you are looking to edit. Whether you're creating from scratch or customizing a pre-made template make sure you are on the "Build" tab of your template.Screenshot 2023-11-08 at 10.33.51 AM

💡Pro tip: If you're starting from scratch, remember that setting your basic information is the first step, and then you can move on to this second step of building your template.
  2. Next, select the task you want to assign a dynamic date to. If you're starting from scratch create a task!Screenshot 2023-11-08 at 10.51.19 AM
  3. Now within the task builder scroll down until you see "Dates". Click on it to open the modal.Screenshot 2023-11-08 at 11.00.03 AM
