To see payment information over time, you should start at Company Reports. You can navigate from the left side menu:
In your Reports Module, you can either use the Standard Report already generated by GoCo or create your own Custom Report.
The standard report will live underneath the HR folder of your Standard Reports section of the Reports App.
When utilizing the report autogenerated by GoCo, you can use the filtering options to show specific information - such as certain departments or over the last 6 months.
If you are deciding to create your own Custom Report, there are two common compensation reports you may want to pull.
- Run a report of compensation as of Today
- Run a report of compensation report as of a certain date
Please note, that the following options can be applied to all report types. In this scenario we are referencing compensation, however, if you wish to update your fields to pull a report on "Custom Fields" or "Manager", for example, feel free to do so! 😉
To run a compensation report as of Today:
Scroll down to Custom Reports and click +Add Report.
Select Create from Scratch & choose Team Member as your report type.
You'll be redirected to a new screen to customize the report. First, you'll want to name & give the report a description.
Now begin inputting the Basic settings.
Select your Report Fields, that is what fields/columns you want to include in this report. By default, you will see "First Name" & "Last Name", however, you can add additional fields by clicking the "+ Add Fields" button. Be sure to add the "Effective Date" field, as well as Wage Rate & Wage Type, and any other fields you might want to view.

Notice you can add groups of fields at a time! Simply hit the check box icon next to the field type to add all fields in that category.
You will then be asked to select what filters, starting with Team Members, you want to add to the Report.
Filter from "All Employees", "Active Team Members" & more!
After selecting your team members, select any fields you want to set conditions around. For example, you can select "Last Name" "Does not contain" or "Blank". Depending on your desired outcome, adjust as needed. (Please note available fields depend on your report type).
If you wish to layer any filters simply hit the "+Add more" button.
Now lastly, switch over to your "Advanced" settings tab & expand the "Display" drop-down. Here select, "As Of Today". GoCo will automatically pull in the correct date.
Now click Generate Report to view it!
From here, you can download this report or save it for future use. 🎉
Please note that if you do not save this report, it will be a "One-Time" report & you will not be able to access it later.
To run a report of compensation as of a certain date (future date or past date):
Follow all the same steps above, however, once you get to the "Display" settings, select "Time Machine". From the drop-down either select "Custom Date" or a preset option.
If you select "Custom Date" a calendar field will appear prompting you to select a new date.
Once you're ready, hit the "Generate Report" button to view it.
From here, you can download this report or save it for future use. 🎉
Please note that if you do not save this report, it will be a "One-Time" report & you will not be able to access it later.
