      How to set up GoCo Embedded Payroll Partner as my Agent?

      Here is a guide on how to set up Third Party Agent access to Remit Payroll Tax Filings and Payments

      Some states require that you enter specific information about GoCo Embedded Payroll's partner to grant Third Party Access (TPA) or register—TPA is also sometimes necessary in order for us to file and pay your taxes.

      What is a TPA? 

      Third Party Access is giving an intermediary company the ability to file and remit tax payments on your behalf to a payroll Tax jurisdiction. You may hear the phrases TPA, Payroll Agent, and Payroll Representative, but the terms are interchangeable. 

      What if I do not have a payroll tax account set up? 

      If you have not set up a payroll tax account for your business you will need to consult a CPA, accountant or you can visit your states tax account website for guides on how to register or options for support to register your payroll Tax account. 

      How do I give Agent (TPA) Access? 

      If at any time an agency needs information about your payroll agent, there are a few ways this can occur. 

      • You will need to log into your payroll tax account and authorize the TPA request initiated by  GoCo Embedded Payroll Partner Gusto. 
      • You will need to log into your payroll tax account and initiate a request to the state to name GoCo Embedded payroll Partner Gusto as your TPA
      • Some states do not have specific instructions for granting Third Party Access. If you have found this to be the case, then you can use the information below:

      Note: Reminder that this will be required for GoCo Embedded Payroll Partner to timely remit your payments and filings. You will be notified of states that need to have TPA at Implementation and if your company grows into other states, you will need to complete this process as well.
