How to Access Your Payroll Journal in GoCo
If you are using GoCo's Embedded Payroll, you have access to your Payroll Journal. Check out this article to learn more!
A payroll journal offers a comprehensive snapshot of your payroll data, helping you keep accurate records, monitor expenses, and troubleshoot payroll issues. Whether you’re auditing pay periods, reconciling payroll expenses with your accounting system, or tracking deductions and tax withholdings, pulling a payroll journal in GoCo provides the detailed information you need. This guide will show you how to easily access and generate payroll journals so you can streamline payroll reviews and maintain clear, compliant records.
First, you'll log in to GoCo & access your "Reports" app. (Reminder, you must be a user that has access to view & pull reports, such as a Full Access Admin or a Payroll Admin with access to Reports.)
Here you will find reports broken down by Standard Reports & Custom Reports. Underneath Standard Reports, you will find a sub-section labeled "Payroll Reports". Within it, you find your "Payroll Journal".
Once clicked, a pop-out will appear asking you to select which type of payroll type you'd like to select, an off-cycle run or a scheduled run.
Regardless of your choice, once selected, you'll be asked for more detailed information about the payroll type including the Data Group & Date Range you'd like to pull information for. Once you've made your selections, hit the "Download Report" button.
Your report will be generated & a pop-out will appear for you to download it to your device.
Once downloaded you can sort & filter this report to your liking. If you have any other questions, please reach out to your GoCo support team at Support@goco.io.
