The IRS enforces strict regulations governing flexible spending accounts. As the administrator of these accounts, Ameriflex is responsible for ensuring that both participants and employers remain compliant with all IRS requirements. This includes reviewing and approving or denying card transactions and claims, as well as clearing or marking certain card transactions as ineligible.
In some cases, participants may be asked to submit supporting documentation for specific transactions. Providing the requested documents promptly is essential to substantiate these claims and ensure compliance.

Where to File Claims
Claims for FSA, HSA, or other spending accounts are not submitted through GoCo. Instead, you will handle claims directly with Ameriflex, the carrier managing these accounts.

What to Expect After Filing a Claim with Ameriflex
Claims with the required supporting documentation are generally processed within three business days of receipt. Once approved, reimbursements are issued as follows:
- By Check: Sent via USPS First-Class Mail, typically arriving within 7–10 days from the processing date.
- By Direct Deposit: Usually deposited within 3–5 days from the processing date.
If you haven’t set up direct deposit yet and would like to, simply log in to your Ameriflex account and follow the steps to enroll in direct deposit.
