How to Cancel an Active Workflow?

Do you have a workflow that is taking up space in your active workflows view and you want to remove it? Continue reading to find out how to "complete" them.

Occasionally, Workflows may remain unfinished, such as in the case of a new hire not showing up on their first day. However, you now have the option to retain their information for reporting purposes while canceling their hiring workflow. This prevents it from occupying valuable space in your active workflows section.

  1. To mark a workflow as complete, simply log in to GoCo as a Full Access Administrator and go to the Workflows app. Screenshot 2023-07-27 at 5.26.46 PM
  2. At the top of the page click on the "Active Workflows" tab. Screenshot 2023-07-27 at 5.28.09 PM
  3. Navigate to the the designated workflow you wish to complete and click on the ellipses button to reveal your options. Select "Complete Workflow"Screenshot 2023-07-27 at 5.32.20 PM
  4. GoCo will provide you with one final message advising that "All incomplete or pending tasks will be marked as cancelled and the workflow will be marked as complete" Screenshot 2023-07-27 at 5.35.10 PM
  5. Select "Continue" to confirm your action.  
  6. Now the Workflow is marked as complete, if you hover your mouse over the task that is highlighted in red. GoCo will display a message indicating that the task has been canceled.

  7. And there you have it! By canceling the workflow, you have successfully cleared up your view and removed it from your active workflows.
