Empower Your Team: Integrating Compensation Requests into Your Performance Workflows
🛠️ Step-by-Step Guide:
-
Navigate to your Templates Page: From your GoCo dashboard, head over to the Performance app from the left navigation bar and click on the Templates tab at the top of the page. This is your central hub for all performance review frameworks.
-
Select or Create a Template: Choose an existing performance review template where you'd like to include compensation requests, or create a brand new one to suit your needs.
-
To select an existing review click the elipsis (...) and click "Edit"
-
-
Access the Task Builder: Once you are on the "Create Review" page (access by clicking the "Create Review" tab at the top), click the blue "+ Task" button located at the bottom left. You can add a new task specifically for compensation requests or integrate it into an existing task if you prefer.

-
Add the Compensation Change Request App: In the Task Builder, you'll see a floating bar with various options.
-
Click on the"Apps" button and from the dropdown menu, select "Compensation Change Request".
-
This action embeds the powerful Compensation Change Request wizard directly into your task, ready for use when you launch your reviews!
- Note: You have the option to make this field required or optional
-
-
Assign the Task: Now, let's make sure the right people are empowered to initiate these requests. In the Assignee section of the task, you can use GoCo's dynamic assignees. For compensation requests, typically you'll want to assign this to a "Manager". This will automatically assign the task to the manager of the employee whose review it is. Super smart, right?

-
Review and Publish! Once your task is set up with the Compensation Change Request, don't forget to click "Review and Publish" to save your template changes and make them live for your team. You'll see a warning if your task doesn't have any data or is missing an assignee, but you can still choose to publish.
